This quote by Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has surfaced again. Please read the quote and then give your opinion. Make sure to include your reasons when you write your opinion.
Here is the quote:
"In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids," he says. "Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don't belong (in out clothes), and they can't belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely."

ReplyDeleteI disagree, because every person cool or not cool should be able to find nice clothes with out getting hurt with this words.

ReplyDeleteI personally disagree with what are they arguing because if they want to open a store in a public mall they can't exclude customers because of their types. Additionally, if they do so, they can give life to that issue-cool kids and not-so-cool kids phenomenon-and make it last for even more generations.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with this because maybe the cool kids might not have the money to buy your clothing at your store. while the uncool kid has all the money in the world and probably they would've gone out of business if they continue to that.
ReplyDeleteI hardly disagree because everyone is same so cool or not cool people should get the same thing and the same clothes. If anybody think that cool people better than not cool people they are wrong. Not just people same in the life evrey thing is same in the life.
ReplyDeletei strongly disagree because you cant judge someone from his cloths. cloths wont tell your about the persons personality. people who try hard to look cool by their cloths seem to be trying so hard which make it more not-cool, in the other hand people who dont try to impress their friends and look cool of what they wear tend to be more cooler.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what they are referring to, in my perspective I think the whole idea of opening stores in a public place specifically for cool kids, is to attract more customers, because a lot of not cool kids would like to imitate the cool kids by choosing to wear same clothes, same style, and have the same attitude.
ReplyDeleteI really disagree with him because everyone is equal on body is better or cooler than the other. I would not ever go shopping from that store. even though there is lot of stores that sell the same style. So I rather go shopping form different stores that has the same style and cheaper.
